VERIFIED SAFARBITE SPOT • JAIPUR HERITAGE EATS
Lassiwala (Since 1944)
Shop 312, MI Road, Jaipur | The original pioneer of rich, slow-churned curd served in traditional clay kulhads.
The Story Behind The Spot
Operating on Mirza Ismail Road since 1944, Kishanlal Agarwal’s shop set the gold standard for lassi in North India. Despite numerous copycats lining the street, Shop No. 312 remains the undisputed original.
Their recipe relies on full-cream curd fermented in clay vats and hand-churned with wooden blenders. Each glass is topped with a thick, decadent slab of malai (clotted cream) and served ice-cold in unglazed earthenware that imparts a pleasant rustic aroma.
Must-Try Specialties
- Sweet Lassi (Meethi Lassi): The signature creamy blend topped with fresh malai.
- Salted Lassi (Namkeen Lassi): A refreshing, cumin-scented digestive variant.
- Small Kulhad (200ml): Perfect light portion for solo travelers on a walking tour.
- Large Kulhad (400ml): Hearty and filling enough to count as breakfast.
